Adult Studies and Fellowship

 

Morning Glories: Women’s breakfast group that meets Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays at 8:30 am at The Big Apple restaurant.
 
Wesley Fellowship: an informal monthly fellowship time and a meal with Christians from our community and church. Meets the fourth Tuesday of the month at 6:30 pm at the church.
 
Men’s Prayer Group: meets every Wednesday at 8am at the church.
 
Walk to Emmaus: This is a 72-hour short course in Christianity comprised of 15 talks given by lay and clergy on the themes of God's grace, disciplines of Christian discipleship and what it means to be the church. This is a new way to meet Jesus Christ as he is revealed to you through other believers. Contact Jack and Janet Becker, Tom and Karen Newby, or anyone who has been to a walk.
 
Sunday School: Meets between services on Sunday morning. Topics vary between Bible studies, video lessons, and just plain fellowship.
 
Bells: meets Tuesdays at 5 pm in the music room.
 
Choir: meets Wednesdays at 7pm in the music room. Christmas cantata practice is at 7:45 pm.
 
Praise Team: A group of wonderful musicians who welcome the 8 am Sunday morning worship service with upbeat music and wide open hearts. The team is made up of guitarists, drummers, keyboardists, and singers.
 
Book Club: contact Gayle Ostrander for current book and meeting times.
 
Prayer Shawl Ministry: About 35 people from differeent faith backgrounds come to our church each Friday morning at 9:30 to knit and pray for people in need. In addition to prayer shawls, crocheted baby clothes and hats have been made. Once a shawl is completed prayers and blessings are generously lifted up for the individual receiving the shawl. The shawl reminds those who receive it of God's comforting presence and love.
 
Finding Joys in the Ups and Downs of Life: meets at 6:30 pm Tuesdays at the Becker home. Led by Janet Becker.
 
Thursday Night Bible Study: This class is for those who have been mystified about the sequence of events in the New Testament. We will be looking at the Book of Acts and discover together the powerful story that unfolds in the lives of thiose who were frist touched by the Good News of Jesus Christ. We will meet from 7 pm to 8:15 pm on Thursdays at the parsonage.
